Basic rules for checking in

Check-in in a dormitory of first-year students usually begins after August 20-25. To check into the dormitory, you need to write an application. The application can be submitted in the applicant's personal account or after the order for enrollment in the student's personal account on the official website of the University. All applications are sent to the deans of the faculties. You can find out about settling into the hostel in the student's personal account or call the dean's office of your faculty.

To check into a dormitory, you need to have:

  • Employment contract;
  • Payment receipt;
  • Fluorography (valid for a year);
  • Result of a blood test for UMSS (valid for 10 days - you can take it at your place of residence);
  • 6 photos 3x4 cm.

Having a copy of a contract and a passport, a student must register at the place of stay at the passport office, which is located in the dormitory. Registration is valid for one academic year.

All dormitories of IrGUPS corridor type are equipped according to the norms. On the floor, there are two kitchens, two washrooms with sinks, two separate bathrooms (female, male). Each dormitory has shower rooms, a laundry room with washing machines, where students can wash their clothes (powders and other products are purchased independently), a storage room where you can hand over suitcases and other oversized items (from the allowed ones), round-the-clock study rooms where students can work out in silence (the rooms are equipped with sockets for connecting a laptop or other gadgets). Libraries with fiction are available in the dormitories №1, 3 and 4 (currently being created in the 8th dormitory). The dormitory №1 has a football field, №3 has volleyball, basketball and football fields.

Each dormitory has a student council — a self-government body, which includes the chairman and the headmen of the floors. They are the ones who keep order in the kitchen and in the corridors, make up duty schedules. The floor is cleaned by cleaners. During the day, the following people work in the hostel: the head, the housekeeper, the passport officer, the floor attendant and the duty officer on duty, after 20.00-the operational duty officer.

When checking in, you need to have dishes (mugs, plates, cutlery, a pot and a frying pan, etc.), a kitchen towel and 2-3 bath towels, a laptop or a stationary computer (you can use a printer, scanner, wi-fi router). If desired, you can take a TV and a refrigerator (the equipment should not be older than 5 years, so that the plugs and connectors are working, not homemade and not sealed with duct tape), a table lamp with an energy-saving light bulb inside, a kettle, but not electric, because dormitories are not designed for high-kilowatt kettles that knock out fuses in rooms, many dormitories have curtains, but if desired, students can take them from home.

A dormitory provides students with bed linen (three sets are designed for each student: one is used, one is in the laundry, one is being replaced), each student is provided with a mattress, pillow, thimble, blanket and bedspread. It is not allowed to use an iron in the room, but you can take it from the attendant and iron your clothes in a special ironing room. In case of a sudden blackout, there are flashlights on the watch.

It is not allowed to take pets, slow cookers and electric kettles, vacuum cleaners that exceed the permissible kilowatt norm, it is strictly forbidden to bring soft toys, large or small, because they are dust collectors, hotbeds of pathogenic bacteria and take up space in the room, it is forbidden to bring carpets and carpet paths in order to comply with Sanitary and Epidemiological Service (SES) and fire safety standards (only a bedside mat is allowed). The furniture in the room is arranged in compliance with all norms.

If desired, a student can independently carry out cosmetic repairs. Only you need to coordinate with the administration of the hostel the color of the paint and wallpaper. If some furniture is broken in the room or there are complaints about the work of electrical appliances, plumbing equipment, the student can leave his comments in a special magazine (electrician, plumber, carpenter), specify the room number, date and the problem will be eliminated as soon as possible. It is forbidden to alter the electrical wiring in the hostel, to disassemble and transfer furniture and other equipment from one room to another without permission.

Dormitories are not provided to married couples in IRGUPS. This is because the rooms are not equipped for couples (according to the norms of the SES from 2011).
